How To Wear: The Harmony Dress
Date Posted:24 August 2020
With the launch of our Pre-Spring collection this week, we bring along a fresh new style - the Harmony Dress!
Available in three classic colour tones, Dark Olive, Navy & Black, this soft bamboo dress is a smart-casual go-to. It's comfortable, playful, stylish and better yet, an easy piece to throw on and head out the door in.
The Harmony Dress has shorter sleeves for those who prefer to cover their upper arms, a flattering round neckline and a defined waistline which creates shape. It features a swing-style midi skirt that falls gently over the hips along with smooth bamboo fabric with lots of stretch, creating soft feminine lines.
Where can I WEAR it?
As a versatile, everyday piece, you can wear the Harmony Dress absolutely everywhere. Seriously, we cannot figure out a place you'd not be able to wear this to. It's the perfect little number for travel, spring events, weekend roadtrips, market shopping, date night... the list goes on!
What ACCESSORIES can I pair it with?
The Harmony Dress has a higher neckline so, we suggest you accessorise with a long, simple necklace (like Karina is wearing) to elongate the torso. If you prefer statement jewellery, a funky necklace that sits on the chest is the way to go. To accentuate the waist a little more, add a wide belt and play around with the colours! In terms of shoes, there are endless options; wear a wedge for smart casual or strappy heels to elevate the look. Pop on a pair of sneakers or slides to create a more relaxed and laidback outfit.
What BODY SHAPE is it suited to?
The greatest feature of the Harmony Dress is that it compliments all body shapes. Below we've described how our Harmony Dress flatters various shapes:
Apple: The goal is to gracefully create a waistline. The Harmony Dress elegantly creates the illusion of a waist, nips just below the bust and skims over your midsection.
Hourglass: A-line is your best friend! The super soft waistband of this dress cinches in the waist and then falls loosely over the thighs.
Pear: Pear shapes always look beautiful in dresses, especially fit and flare dresses. The roomier midi skirt skims gently over the hips and helps elongate the legs.
Triangle: The fit and flare of this dress is ideal for triangle shapes. The nip at your midsection is perfect, balancing out your waist and upper body while falling over your bottom half in a flattering way.
Inverted Triangle: The midi skirt section balances out broad shoulders while still creating a bit of shape. You can get away with detailing, especially below the waist - the drapey fabric on our Harmony Dress is perfect for you!
Athletic: Dresses that slightly flare out are ideal for you as they help balance out the upper body. The Harmony Dress defines the waistline while the fit and flare gives off an hourglass effect.
* Please note that these are general guidelines as everybody is different. Experiment with your body shape and see what works best for you.
