Who Made My Clothes 2018

Meet our talented garment workers.

While we may be a bit late on the bandwagon this message is always relevant!

Who Made My Clothes?

It’s that time of the year again!

A week when the spotlight is put on the fashion industrty as customers ask “Who made my clothes?”

Thinking beyond ourselves and how our brand impacts the world is a priority for us.

We don’t want to promote thoughtless consumerism but rather highlight good practices and outward thinking.

We are encouraged by the changing textile landscape with sustainability and ethical production becoming the rule not the exception as continued pressure is being put on fashion companies.

Our factories do not employ workers under the age of 18, their working conditions, quality and pay are fair and above Chinese government standards. The growth of bamboo gives poorer rural communities an income, and the workers are not exposed to chemicals when working on our plantations.

It’s important to give value to the talented ladies who help keep our business running so here are some of the women who made your clothes:

I have to say I feel a bit guilty buying bamboo clothing as my daughter informs my it is enviromently not good. I do care what happens in all our countries especially when it effects women and children.. I don't seem to cope well in many of the unnatural fibres and good quality cotton is hard to get here. I do think long and hard about the cloths I buy and like items I know I will wear.and fit into my lifestiye. I mostly wear mens work cloths as I work the land still, grow my own food, catch all the water I use and recycle it around my fruit trees with a biolic system and also produce my electicity from the sun. I am 67yrs old and am no longer wanted in the paid work force. So wearing the cloths you make so lovely is a real treat when I travel to see my children and other family. I am comfortable and don't need a lot of cloths to carry around. I am interested in any problems you have in developing the fabric I can handle honesty and would be interested in how you deal with them.

Thank you ladies

I am at an age where I don't really need new clothes every season and the ones that I do buy tend to last me for ages. That said I am so impressed by your ethics. I thank you.
