Design Story: The Eucalyptus Print

Discover the process behind our latest print.

The simple made beautiful.

This print started quite rushed. I simply had some paper, a sharpie and an idea.

I just wanted to get my idea onto paper and into the computer to see if it would look good.

Though with some refinement in Illustrator those quick sharpie drawings ended up being the foundation of the final print.

I wanted to create a print that celebrated our Australian brand while remaining simple. With the eucalyptus leaf as my inspiration I wanted the print to have a natural, hand drawn feel.

The leaves were originally drawn in black marker on white paper but the final print looks very different! The leaves are actually white on a coloured background. While the colour hasn't been revealed yet I can tell you it was chosen to compliment the Eucalyptus theme. The print has also been paired with an ivory colour to give the whole collection a soft, fresh, summery look.

We believe this collection encapsulates who we are as a brand. It has simple beauty.

We’re excited to launch The Eucalyptus Collection very soon!

It will bring freshness into your wardrobe with its unique summer styles and natural feel.

Hope you like it!

Got to say I’m not sure until I see the finished products. Some patterns can make the out fit and some are just not missing friendly, if you know what I mean. Interested to see the products tho.
